Gary Shaw and Doug DeLuca resign from ProElite July 29, 2008 22:52:23ProElite, Inc., the parent company of Elite Xtreme Combat, declared via a filing with the Securities Exchange Committee that both Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer Doug DeLuca and EliteXC Live Events President Gary Shaw have resigned from the company.
According to the filing, restated service contracts were agreed upon with DeLuca and Shaw on July 23.

James Irvin tests positive for painkillers July 29, 2008 22:13:44UFC light heavyweight James Irvin tested positive for non-approved painkillers Methadone and Oxymorphone during a UFC Fight Night 14 post-fight urinalysis, according to the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
